You’re invited – October Open Studios – Visit My “Office” – See Adoration of the San Franciscans in Progress

October 14-15

You are cordially invited to visit Studio 104 at Islais Creek Studios during  ArtSpan Open Studios, the annual October city-wide art celebration.    During Weekend 1, visit my “office”  at Islais Creek Studios from 11 am to 6 pm. Studio 104 is at the corner of Rankin Street and Custer Avenue in San Francisco.   I will be showing mixed-media drawings, teeny plein air paintings, and a new series based on the centerfold of an artist book, Adoration of the San Franciscans.  I created Portrait of a Day,–24 hours in the Life of an Artist for The Sketchbook Project based in Brooklyn.  It went on a U.S. tour in 2012 and 2015 along with 10,000 other artist books and is archived at the Brooklyn Art Library. The centerfold is a mixed media 7 inch by 30 inch drawing and is enjoying an after-life as a series of oil paintings. The series includes a 3 panel painting, each panel is 4 ft by 3 ft; and features my favorite taco truck in the Mission & the people who love their tacos & burritos as much as I do.
